Our commitment

Aljarash Home Co. aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not an afterthought.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate structurally.
• Text and background colour combinations tested for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body copy.
• Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Full keyboard operability, including a visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
• Form fields with permanently visible labels rather than placeholder-only hints.
• Animation that respects the operating-system “reduce motion” preference and stops entirely when it is set.
• Responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels and remains readable at 200% zoom.

Known limitations

Some older product photographs have shorter alternative text than we would like; we are rewriting them as we re-shoot each item. PDF care guides supplied by manufacturers are not always tagged for screen readers — email us and we will send the same content as plain text or read it to you over the phone.

You never have to use this website to buy from us. Call +1 (310) 402-3295 during business hours and we will describe products, take your order and arrange delivery over the phone. We can also send a large-print catalog by mail on request.
